PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project aimed to research and analyze strategies for positive-well being in the workplace. It consisted of a literature review, both scholarly and popular work. After gathering research on the topic, a survey was conducted with students from St. Olaf College, looking to find out what graduating seniors perceptions of positive-well being in the workplace look like. Finally the results from the survey, combined with the research will cumulated to create suggestions for emerging workers in how to best utilize their future workplace.

CONCLUSIONS

The data collected from the sample of St. Olaf upperclassmen who are preparing to enter the job market closely aligns with the research found on factors that contribute to creating healthy work environments. Some areas that could be of further research are the specific trends that are seen in how Millennials think about work environments, versus other generations.

 

Keeping in mind the strategies that have contributed to creating more healthy work environments, there are insights that can continue to be of use to emerging workers to help them thrive in their future work environment. This information is not only useful for the emerging workers, but also for the future employers of this upcoming group of emerging workers.
